This is my groups mind map for our selected object, a peeler with brush. I thought the process of creating a mind map was a good way to get the ideas flowing.

IDEO video
I really liked this video and I thought it was interesting to see how different the mainstream office space is compared to the IDEO company. At IDEO the workspace is similar to a playground. Being playful is an important aspect of being innovative and failing is a welcomed part of the process. There is not one head honcho running the projects, it functions as a unit and the team decides on the best ideas. Hierarchy in the workplace is out of the question. One of the main rules I liked was that you had to hire people who don't listen to you which goes against every employe boss relation ship known to man.

Sketches for Poster...?
These are a few of my better sketches...i'm not sold on using them on my poster but they are strong contenders.
Good Design...
My object for the "What Is Good Design" project is an eyelash curler. It demonstrates good design because it qualifies under multiple categories listed by Dieter Rams. For example it is useful; most women use one on a daily basis. It is long lasting. I've had the same one since I was about thirteen. The use for it is very understandable and lastly it is honest because it does not try to fool the buyer into thinking it does something different than its original purpose to curl eyelashes.

Objectified Synopsis
This movie was really an eye opener to me. I did not realize how completely oblivious I am to everything around me. The question of "I wonder why they made it that way" rarely crosses my mind. It really made me realize that in order to succeed in interior design I need to start thinking more detailed instead of just looking at something and making a general consensus. Overall it was a very interesting movie and I loved hearing the stories of the different designers. Although the second to last guy that was interviewed could have done without the purple glasses and the white out nails.
